HagglePlate (operated via haggleplate.co.uk) provides programmatic vehicle MOT history diagnostics, mechanical wear estimates, and price negotiation scripts to prospective car buyers across the United Kingdom.

2. Data We Collect & Lawful Basis

We process personal data strictly under the following lawful bases:

• Vehicle Registration Marks (VRMs): Vehicle registration numbers entered are public data queried against the official UK Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and DVLA databases. VRMs are not considered personal data unless linked to an identifiable individual.
• Customer Email Addresses: Collected during Stripe checkout solely for the performance of a contract (delivering the purchased PDF forensic dossier and order confirmation).
• Payment Details: All payment processing is securely handled directly by Stripe. HagglePlate never sees, processes, or stores your raw credit or debit card numbers.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party cloud infrastructure to fulfill services:

• Stripe Inc.: Payment gateway and transaction processing.
• Resend Inc.: Transactional email delivery for report access.
• Supabase / PostgreSQL: Encrypted persistent database storage.
• UK DVLA / DVSA Open Data: Source for publicly recorded vehicle MOT test records.
